Future ergonomics, today

Going beyond industry ergonomics

We take ergonomic durability very seriously. That’s why every SPACE Ergonomic Seat is dropped and knocked over countless times during development to ensure it's the survival of the fittest. SPACE Ergonomic Seat are put through rigorous tests set by internationally recognized standards bodies, and then pushed to the limit with real-life scenarios.

SPACE DURABILITY AND MATERIAL TEST

SPACE Ergonomic Seat design begin in our lab and facilities. After that, they're sent to international bodies to ran rigorous test and iterations on every aspect to ensure it's ergonomically comfortable and durable. Every single detail counts, from stitching every panels together to every tiny components. The product engineers spent countless hours of research to understand the science of sitting, to produce the best ergonomic support.

Drop Proof Load Test

136kg (300lbs) weight drop from 152mm onto the center of the seat.

Backrest Load Test

A force of 1,001N (225lbs) is applied to the backrest for 1 minute.

Backrest Strength Test

A force of 667N (150lbs) is applied to specific backrest tor 1 minute.

Seating Durability Test

A 57kg (125lbs) weight drop from 36mm onto the seat for 100,000 cycles.

Tilt Mechanism Test

Chair is tilted with 109kg (240lbs) weight on the center of the seat for 300,000 cycles.

Armrest Durability Test

A force of 400N (90lbf) is applied to center of each armrest for 60,000 cycles.

Swivel Test

A 122kg (270lbs) weight is loaded on the seat at height of it lowest and heights for 120,000 cycles.

Base Structure Test

A force of 11,120N (2500lbf) is applied to the base interface for 1 minute.

Castor Durability Test

A 122kg (270lbs) weight is loaded on the seat and test on hard and smooth hard surface for 2,000 & 98,000 cycles.
